Jewish House is an independent, not-for-profit charity organisation, providing help non-denominationally to the community with crisis prevention and intervention. Established in 1984 by the Jewish community, we operate our services from Bondi, NSW and provide support to the most vulnerable, without bias.
We open our door and 24/7-crisis line to members of the public in need, with counselling, immediate crisis intervention, food and shelter, psychiatry, psychology, pastoral care and job search support.
Our comprehensive range of crisis intervention and prevention services are provided to individuals and families suffering from depression, alcoholism, gambling and drug addiction, domestic violence, mental illness, business problems, financial problems, unemployment, anger management, homelessness, family disputes and other crises.
We also proud to provide leading independent children’s support, welfare and counselling programs through our newly created family services organisation – JH Kids. Dedicated to creating a holistic and integrated care program for children 12 years and under, we are passionate and committed to assisting the child, school, and family in this journey.
Our community benefits from our early intervention assistance and the high success rate we achieve in helping people rebuild their lives after a major life event or crisis
