Schools play a critical role in supporting children’s wellbeing during times of community distress. In the wake of the Bondi attack, many children are experiencing big feelings they don’t yet have words for. Worry, fear, confusion, and changes in behaviour are all very normal responses to distressing events — and these often surface in the classroom or playground.

Peaceful Kids is a gentle, evidence-based wellbeing program designed to support children aged 6–11 in a small-group setting. Through simple breathing exercises and practical, everyday life skills, children learn how to calm their bodies, express worries safely, and build confidence and resilience.

The program is interactive, engaging, and facilitated by two experienced counsellors, making it suitable for targeted student support or broader wellbeing initiatives.

Peaceful Kids can be delivered on-site in primary schools or community organisations, and tailored to meet the needs of individual school communities.
